Family Assistance Programs

Energy Assistance

This program is to assist low-income individual/households with the payment of their electrical and gas bills

To participate in the Energy Assistance Program:

  • You must be a US citizen or permanent resident alien residing in the US Virgin Islands.
  • All members must provide a social Security number or apply for one.
  • A current or past due electrical bill must be provided.
  • The income of all adult household members must be provided.
  • The income level for a household of one cannot exceed $25,000 annually and a household of two or more percent cannot exceed $40,000
  • All eligible households' electrical bills will be paid every other month.
  • Gas bills will be paid twice a year for eligible household.
